A
new food culture is taking shape and in this era of great change food is
essential to the future of humanity. The young will play a role in influencing
the food of the future. Therefore it is with great pleasure that Slow Food
Herefordshire embarks on creating links with children in education and the young
people of the county.'Fabulous Food'– Pilot Scheme
With funding from Herefordshire Community Foundation, working with the ‘Aim Higher’ Young Apprenticeship scheme, Holme Lacy College and The Bulmer Foundation, Slow Food Herefordshire are:
"Using a practical and fun process to engage young people in education about food and drink, its connection with farming, and its potential role in culture, health and the environment. We would like to encourage an attitude that good, locally distinctive food is something ‘cool’, and worth celebrating."
